Eastridge Workforce Solutions legal team is supporting a national credit management company that is seeking entry-level Staff Counsel in their San Diego office. Duties :

• Assist with special projects for Internal Legal or Legal Outsourcing.
• Create, review, direct and resolve collection litigation matters cost-effectively by working with business clients and legal support staff.
• Ensure adherence to Consumer Bill of Rights by enforcing relevant company policies. Communicate with consumers and opposing counsel to encourage financial recovery.
• Maintain and enhance company reputation with courts, vendors, outside counsel, and consumers. Limit company exposure through effective advocacy on behalf of the Company in hearings, trials, and mediation. Negotiate with opposing counsel, prepare responses to motions, respond to discovery, and prepare and attend hearings and trials.
• Provide legal advice to the company to support compliance with federal, state and local laws.

Qualifications :

• Degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to non-legal stakeholders.
• Experience working in a corporate legal department or law firm is preferred.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including [list specific laws or regulations relevant to the organization].
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
